1922 Historical Home overlooking Shuswap Lake. "A feast for the eyes & soul".

This Bed and Breakfast is ideal for artists, railway buffs, historians, and anyone who loves nature.

There are three available guest rooms, a library and writing room. There are three bedrooms for double occupancy including a dormer overlooking Shuswap Lake.

Three guest rooms on the private 2nd floor.  The Yellow room and Orange dormer room overlook the lake, and share a bath which features a 1940's man's tub'.  The Green room has a soft elegance, with a queen size sleigh bed and a unique rock floor in the 'shower for two' ensuite.

Room rates vary with the time of year and the bedroom selected.

• Mid Season (April, May, Sept and Oct.): $80 - $100 per night
• High Season (June, July, August): $90 - $120.00 per night

About your Hostess Victoria Simpson

A third generation Kamloopsian and BC resident, Victoria moved back to the Thompson-Okanagan in 1995 after living in different parts of Canada. Her parents owned a home on the CPR hillside. In 1989 when she came home for her brother's wedding she noticed the 'old house' was for sale. It was purchased and her parents lived in the home until she returned in 1995. Check out the studio and ask about painting an umbrella or your own placemat to take home.

Experience the bomb/fallout shelter. Be part of the history by adding your name to the hundreds already there on the walls of the 'bomb shelter', which was built during the cold war of the 1950's. It is the only such shelter in the area.

There is a large patio that overlooks the lake where guests are welcome to breath in the sights and sounds of the Shuswap.

Explore the property (check out the grotto in the rock wall), walk down the trail to the lake (at your own risk) and check out the ruins of the former Sicamous CPR Hotel, or walk or bike the historic 6km Old Sicamous Rd.

The Artist's House is conveniently located just off the Trans-Canada Highway west of Sicamous.

It is best to approach heading westbound from Sicamous-turn off the highway onto Old Sicamous Road, then take a right at Bruhn Road.
